I love teaching and music education is very important to me. From my early days as a budding guitar player, I’ve been very connected to and interested in the educational side of the instrument and have always strived to be the consummate student, even well into my professional career. Since attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, I have been passionate in my pursuit of expanding my knowledge of the craft. Learning is still so important to me. Throughout my career I’ve done workshops, clinics and master classes, instructional books and videos but nothing close to something like this! Over the many years spent on the road and in the studio with DT, I’ve often desired to reconnect with this side of who I am as a musician and guitar player and am really looking forward to what I’m sure is going to be an amazing experience!

    Check Out

Music Zoo will be operating a store at the event that will feature custom gear from all our instructors and more!

I really want to share what I know about shredding as well getting into technique. At the same time, I want to focus on gear and sounds. I’ve been on a tone mission for my whole life, and that’s something very important. It’s really important to discuss gear and getting sounds whether that’s in the studio or live. Of course, I’ll also discuss being in a band, songwriting, recording, and how you compose. I’m a producer as well, so I can share that headspace. The program will cover all of that as it’s all important!

These four days and nights in Glen Cove are all about imparting guitar knowledge encompassing everything from developing your chops and technique to gear talk, crafting the perfect tone and the role of the guitar as a compositional instrument. We’ll be talking about all of that including much more and I’m proud to say that I’ll be joined by an amazing force of the world’s best players in the art of modern shred guitar who will make sure it’s all covered to the fullest extent.

Location

It’s a really neat old mansion. The North Shore of Long Island and that area of Nassau County is part of what they call the “Gold Coast.” There’s no place like it. The grounds and the hotel are really cool as well. There are different rooms for classes, a venue for concerts, and catering. We’ve got everything to host a great time.

Pricing and Registration

“I live on Long Island. It’s a part of my life. I’m sharing my environment with everyone in attendance. It’s not too far from where I grew up. I wanted to give people a sense of where I live, where I record, and the culture of that area. We’re really close to New York City, so after four-day camp you can take advantage of everything the city has to offer. It’s pretty wild in Glen Cove though! There’s a big Italian community with tons of amazing restaurants, bakeries, and churches. I love it.”
